KAAN is an entirely volunteer-run organization! If you would like to get more involved with KAAN, please reach out to Katie Bozek at katie@wearekaan.org. While we are always on the lookout for people who would like to give their time and expertise in different areas, we are specifically looking for volunteers who can help with fund and fundraising development efforts. We also have opportunities on our education, engagement, and communications committees.

KAAN Conference Planning Committee
This committee crafts the call for proposals, reviews the proposals, and curates the annual conference program. This work also includes identifying keynote speakers and/or artists. Committee members participate in designing the program and supporting staff and speakers before, during, and after the event.

KAAN Education Committee
This committee works to create ongoing educational opportunities for members of the KAAN community.
 
KAAN Fundraising Committee
This committee is a standing committee tasked with building strategic partnerships, ensuring financial stability, securing corporate and individual sponsorships, and inviting our membership to give back to the KAAN community.

KAAN Member Engagement Committee
This committee focuses on recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies for the KAAN community by facilitating networking opportunities, coordinating special interest groups (SIGs), and liaising with KAAN members at the annual conference and throughout the calendar year.

KAAN Social Media Committee
This committee disseminates information about KAAN (the organization, annual conference, and original content) as well as adoption-related current events, topics, and research to the broader KAAN community.
