My heart is so full after a week of connecting with others on a part of me that I do not necessarily talk with others about all of the time. It is a good reminder of why these types of spaces are so important and sacred.

To our first-time attendees, thank you for your courage in putting yourself out there in new ways that probably felt uncomfortable and scary at times. I applaud your bravery and vulnerability in those spaces.

To our returning attendees, thank you for looking out for those new attendees and for each other. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate seeing the messages of support and encouragement throughout the week. It is a reminder of how special this community truly is.

To our speakers, thank you for all of the time and energy that you put into creating dynamic sessions that promoted dialogue, internal reflection, and connection with others. KAAN provides a unique perspective and understanding of adoption and of ourselves and where we fit because of you!

KAAN would not be the community without all of you, and I am eternally grateful to be able to be part of this community.
